Hi, I'm Jacob Jopson.  When I was 13 years old I played the game Journey for the first time and after gliding down the sand and taking in a game for the first time as a piece of art, I realized I wanted to make games.

Since then I have been fascinated with how game designers craft worlds mechanics and levels all for the purpose of an interactive story.

​

Now that I have finished my 3rd year of my Bachelors in Screen Arts majoring in Game Design, I cannot wait to put all I can to use making games with a team (wherever that may be) and figuring out what part of design and narrative interests me the most.

Outside of games I am a huge music lover.  My favorite genres are Grunge and adjacent 90's rock.  A few of my personal favorite bands are Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon and Pearl Jam (their first few albums).  I also play the Bass.

Finally I have loved the water ever since I was little.  I guess I got lucky being born and raised in New Zealand.  Throughout my childhood engaging in sports like competitive swimming, Surf Life Saving and Water polo definitely helped.

I look forward to finding a studio of other passionate, hardworking people who strive to make games that leave an impact on their audience just like they did for me.
