When I was 13 years old I played the game Journey for the first time and after gliding down the sand and taking in a game for the first time as a piece of art, I realized I wanted to make games.

Since then I have been fascinated with how game designers craft worlds mechanics and levels all for the purpose of an interactive story.

Through my degree I have gotten the chance to have my hand in many areas of production including Design, Programming, Audio, 3D Modeling and Animation. Now through my Honors program I am getting the chance to research how an audience perception of a game is changed by the systems developed by designers. I cannot wait to put all I have learned so far to use making games with a team (wherever that may be) and figuring out what part of design and narrative interests me the most.

I am a dual citizen of New Zealand and The USA. While I grew up in New Zealand I spent quite a bit of time in my formative years in the Pacific North West. I think that being from both these areas gives me a very interesting perspective that I try to use as much as I can in my work.

Outside of games I am a huge music lover. My favorite genres are Grunge and Punk. A few of my personal favorite bands are Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Bad Religion and Minor Threat. I also play the Bass.

I have loved the water ever since I was little. I guess I got lucky being born and raised in New Zealand. Throughout my childhood engaging in sports like competitive swimming, Surf Life Saving and Water polo definitely helped.

I look forward to finding a studio of other passionate, hardworking people who strive to make games that leave an impact on their audience just like they did for me.
