Induction day is a cross media project using the elements of film and game to create a puzzle room about the management of a billion dollar pharmaceutical company and their twisted abuse of power.

Induction was a second year university project that myself and 4 other students developed over the course of 6 weeks.  The idea behind the project was to developed a narrative about the company and you, as the player would be a new employee on their "Induction day".  During the induction day, you stumble upon a conspiracy and attempt to figure out what was going on by solving 3 puzzles to give you a 3 digit code which gives you access to a file full of the company's crimes.  As the creative director, I oversaw the project as well as designed the puzzle room and created the narrative while the others focused on the creation of the films and imagery.

When developing the idea for this project we went to the drawing board and came up with the 3 topics it was going to tackle and then from there I created the narrative surrounding these 3 ideas.  This became the narrative of how the company was taking advantage of employees, why they where doing this and how a group of people within the company where trying to stop it.

From there I designed the room's layout and 3 puzzles, designing them to be done in 20 minutes along with time to watch the 3 induction videos.  This meant the room's layout and puzzles had to be simple without making them too obvious.
